ELI 2008

I have just returned from ELI 2008 where Liz, Peter and I presented Croquelandia and met many interesting people doing some great work in Educational Technology. Our handout and presentation can be found by following the links. The theme of the conference was: Connecting and Reflecting: Preparing Learners for Life 2.0. You always know it's a great conference when you come home with more questions than answers. :-)

Croquelandia: The Trailer

I will never cease to be amazed by the wonderful talent among us. The first official "trailer" for Croquelandia has been released. It was created by Mike Keading, an undergraduate student working on the JAWS team at the University of Minnesota. Thanks Mike! You did an excellent job! Two different sizes of the movie can be found on the UMN Croquet webpage http://croquet.umn.edu by using the links to the left.

A Student Perspective

I colleague of mine (Thanks David!) recently shared this link about a 14-year old Vermont student interested in educational technology issues and talking about them from his perspective. This article gives a summary of his interests as well as a link to his own blog. I found the ideas not only interesting, but also representative of the type of skills that will be very beneficial to our learners in the future.

Croquelandia-A Student Video

An undergraduate student, from one of the Spanish courses who used Croquelandia, created this news clip for his advanced journalism class. I thought it was well worth sharing. Thanks John! You can access the video by clicking here.
